Plantronics Quality in the Calisto Pro Phone System

One of the latest in a long line of Plantronics products is the new Calisto Pro multi-function cordless phone system.

Plantronics has a long history of innovation in communications products that dates back to the 1960's with their invention of the first lightweight headset for aviation use. They have also had a long relationship with NASA, providing the communications equipment for numerous mission control and space missions. Even Neil Armstrong's famous moon walk and "One small step for man. . ." statement was broadcast back to earth through a Plantronics headset.

Plantronics systems are still widely used in the world of business and aviation and now that same quality is available for home and small business use with the Calisto Pro. The Calisto Pro includes a two-part charging base with a land-line cordless phone that doubles as a Wi-Fi friendly VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) connectable phone. The second part of the base supports a mobile Bluetooth headset. The Bluetooth headset has the clarity of the Plantronics noise cancelling microphone, an extended mouthpiece and an ergonomically designed earpiece.

The handset has the look of a mobile phone which functions as the land line phone and also as a cell phone. It works with the headset or on its own. The cordless phone has a 300-foot range and there are eight hours of talk time, as well, when you use it as a mobile phone.

Switching between the three modes (landline, VoIP and mobile) is easily accomplished with the touch of a button. No more switching handsets and cellphones when more than one call comes in. The Calisto Pro can download 200 names from your PC with up to three phone numbers each and is also a stylish way to streamline and declutter your desk.
